Risk Taking-Robert Henke

If I am gonna do a solo performance….(things could be related to project 1)
Juice is a relentless innovator in the realm of avant-garde artistry, a performance virtuoso hailing from an enclave of isolation. Her creative oeuvre traverses the dimensions of artistic expression, commencing with two-dimensional classical paintings and illustrations, then advancing boldly into the realm of three-dimensional contemporary short films and sculptures, and ultimately ascending into the fourth dimension, characterized by spatial sound design and digital media manipulation.
A computer, A pair of speakers, A mixing desk, Field Kit – Electro Acoustic Workstation (Multiple winded up toys), moog subharmonicon
What’s in my computer? organ backing tracks, Cello back tracks
Audio visual? If the venue requires it, I could do a live star set in touch designer
Space: A dark space for immersion, I would require the audience to lie on the floor
I usually don’t do performance as If I am planning to do so, I would like to be fully prepared. I love to express my sonic language in a fine and delicate way.
I want to create a sonic performance related to the sky with full of stars. I quite like the shimmering and shinning vibe. I am interested to use the organ backing track which I have recording in ST James essex church as a base. I would be improvising on the moog to create a full dynamic. For the field kit, it could be represented to the stars, I could use different toys in different pitches to beat the sound in a more rough and concrete way. I could also play feed back with it using a contact microphone.
I love to create something more engaging and comfortable, soft and nice to the audience. “We are small little stars. We are dancing in the starry sky. We are being listening from the sky.”

Jose’s performance working with living objects and Soma pipe was very engaging and inspiring. I appreciated it because there are lots of techniques and technical skills he had put into it was a great effort. And I am pretty sure he had developed with this kit for such a long time. I like the way he played with the soma pipe, the low frequency was very smooth, very like Hans zimmer style. Quite enjoyable. Contrasty, the poignant textures of toys created a different sonic perspective. I think the dynamic is very full and it shocked me because he didn’t use a computer to play with things. Jose’s emotion and his movements means he has immersed in it.
