In the film territory, women have changed from having no words in the past to being a big metaphor now, and they have their own voices. Female filmmakers are constantly fighting for their place in the film and cinema industry.

The current stop-motion animation project I am working on is a project about male gaze and female gaze: Its a graduation project by RCA MA student Boeing, the theme is about Disparity and Disconnection in a relationship. (It would been good to consider the gaze in its sound design and composition)

The terms “woman gaze” and “man gaze” are not commonly used phrases when discussing relationship dynamics. However, if we consider the concept of the male gaze and female gaze from a broader perspective, we can explore how societal norms and expectations can influence relationships.

Male gaze potentially manifest as traditional gender roles and power imbalances, where men are expected to take on dominant roles while women are expected to be submissive or conform to certain ideals. Female gaze challenges these traditional norms and seeks to prioritize women’s experiences, desires, and subjectivity. It emphasizes equality, agency, and the deconstruction of gender stereotypes within relationships.

In reality, relationships are complex and can vary significantly depending on the individuals involved and their unique dynamics.
